# Problem Statement

Currently, both Web2 and Web3 online-games are hosted by the game studio using centralized solutions. This includes all aspects like game logic, session management and game data storage. When game studios stop maintaining their servers, players lose access to their game records and the game itself. Even for offline-playable game clients, content updates cease, leaving the community without new experiences. With blockchain performance improvements in speed and cost, fully on-chain games are emerging in the Web3 gaming space. By keeping game logic and user assets on-chain, these games become community-owned and censorship-resistant. However, this comes at the expense of user experience, making it suitable only for certain turn-based genres.
