Tokenomics
There are three types of reward tokens—$WORK, $mcWORK, and $ltWORK—each representing different contributions to the network. The type of token earned depends on the device and the specific role it plays within the network infrastructure.
$WORK tokens are earned by high-performance Edge Nodes, which contribute substantial computing and storage power.
$mcWORK tokens are earned by lightweight Micro Nodes, which support AI model training and user interactions.
$ltWORK tokens are designated for Lite Nodes (coming soon), which enhance network connectivity through bandwidth sharing.
There is no fixed supply in all three types of rewards tokens, and all of them can be swapped into $COA based on dynamic pricing. All three types of rewards tokens and $COA have multichain support, depending on the chain that users choose to use.
$COA is the main governance token in Alliance Game and it coordinates the economic incentives among different parties in the ecosystem, including gamers, game studios, node service providers and token holders.
For gamers
$COA is the main currency across major games in the ecosystem. Players could use $COA to mint in-game items, pay for transaction feed in the NFT marketplace and access premium features by staking $COA.
For node service providers
Node service providers will earn $COA apart from their compensation in actual tasks completed, as an incentive to attract more people to join the network and to increase the level of decentralization. For data storage nodes and computing nodes, staking a certain amount of $COA will be required to ensure the performance of the worker node. In the case where the performance doesn’t meet the system standard, for instance, loss of file storage, submit compromised results etc., the staked tokens will be slashed.
For verifier nodes, the required stake will be higher since the network security at stake is also higher. In the case where there is dispute between users and worker nodes, the verifier node responsible for validating the results will be held accountable if the results submitted by worker nodes are faulty.
For game studios
Alliance Games provides an option for game studios to adopt decentralized server and data storage. Depending on the network requirements for different games, the cost of hosting also varies. Paying in $COA could receive a discount.
To attract more games to join the ecosystem, there are also $COA incentives for games based on users onboarded and network traffic generated.
For token holders
$COA token holders are the key part of network governance in Alliance Games. Collectively, token holders decide on the strategic decisions in the network including token buyback and burn from platform revenue, staking requirements for nodes, ecosystem incentives for game studios etc.
